Welcome

We are not all the same, so why should our journey be?

About me

Founder & Principal Instructor • Music Lessons for Life
Every student is entirely unique. We all learn differently, connect with different styles of music, and carry different goals. That is why at Music Lessons for Life, the cookie-cutter methods are left at the door. Your lessons are custom-tailored to fit your specific learning style, interests, and musical aspirations.
Deep Pedagogical Expertise
With over 20 years of professional teaching experience, I have dedicated my career to helping students build lifelong confidence through music. My background bridges academic training with diverse, specialized modern certifications:
    • Bachelor of Arts in Voice – University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
    • Musikgarten Certified – Specialized early childhood music development
    • Recording Technology – Madison Media Institute (MMI)
    • Songwriting Certification – Berklee College of Music Workshops (Boston, MA)
    • Professional Affiliations – Active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)

The Dual-Specialty Advantage
One of the most unique aspects of my studio is the ability to master the art of voice and piano together. If you are an aspiring theater student or singer-songwriter, you no longer have to navigate the hassle and cost of coordinating two separate instructors. My curriculum seamlessly integrates vocal health and technique with practical piano accompaniment in the exact same lesson block.
Real-World Performance Skills
Music is meant to be shared, not just practiced in a closed room. As an active, gigging musician performing vocals and piano with the local Eric Look Band, I regularly bring real-world stage experience directly into our lessons. From playing major local festivals like Summerfest to navigating live sound setup, I teach students the practical skills needed to step onto any stage with absolute confidence.

Extras and Offerings

Free Consultation

Before any student start, I meet them in-person or virtually for a free consultation. This is a great way to meet and talk about the student’s goal for their lessons.

Recitals

There are 2 recitals a year. This gives students a goal to work towards and allows them to show off what they have been learning.

WMTA competitions

For those that are wishing to further their abilities, there are chances to play and compete in WMTA auditions.

Themed Music Challenges

Every 6-8 weeks there is a new music challenge to keep students engaged and working towards their goal.
